Planning our Miles From Tomorrowland party #Spon

We were compensated or provided product for this post. All thoughts are our own. How to entertain a kitchen full of kids who are craving adventures from the Callisto family. Miles Callisto and his family travel through space engaging in all kinds of adventures with aliens, a robot ostrich who help Miles and other fun characters. The show is a big hit with our kids and they love watching it whenever they go somewhere that has cable-hello grandma’s house! We planned a party with a group of our oldest child’s friends, complete with some Miles From Tomorrowland toys, here’s what we learned.

Transformers Robots In Disguise Super Bumblebee is BIG toy play

We have a young Transformers Robots In Disguise fan in our house. The television show is great for kids, surprisingly good for adults and a great entry point into characters that they love to play with.  We have a couple Bumblebee toys. However we have nothing close to the scale of the new Transformers Robots In Disguise Super Bumblebee.

Little Tikes Fish N’ Splash Water Table review

Hey, we received the item for review purposes. All thoughts are our own. There are a couple mandatory items that I have for children three and under. They include a good quality stroller, a sandbox (with some sand toys!), building blocks for inside play and a water table.  We did not get a water table for our oldest until he was almost four and he immediately gravitated towards it. Currently our almost four year old can’t get enough of the Little Tikes Fish N’ Splash Water Table. It’s his go-to play area when he’s outside and his almost six year old brother gets in on the action too.

Celebrate World Play-Doh Day on September 16

Wednesday, September 16 is World Play-Doh Day! What exactly did parents do before Play-Doh was invented in 1956? And they only had four colors to entertain the kids with! Now there are over 50 colors, more than two billion Play-Doh cans have been sold and the average time that each separate color is blended into one green/gray color is :60. OK, that last factoid is based exclusively on our house, the amount of time could be shorter or longer in your house.

What’s cooking with the Little Tikes Sizzle and Serve Grill

Hey, we received product for review purposes. All thoughts are our own. I like to grill. For us it’s a year round activity made more fun in the winter months because it’s cold and the grill keeps us warm. We also don’t use lighter fluid. We have the kids go out and collect small twigs, and dead leaves, surround the area with charcoal and start the fire. That was born from an emergency many years ago, but we’ve kept it up and now use it as a way for the kids to earn money.  Because of our bare bones grilling style the kids spend time with me when I grill and they got to cook with the Little Tikes Sizzle and Serve Grill.

Celebrate Force Friday with these Star Wars kitchen tools

Force Friday is upon us! That means oodles of new Star Wars Toys just in time for when the upcoming The Force Awakens hits theaters. We love our toys. More specifically our boys will love the new Star Wars toys. However, what about you, the person who cooks, spends a lot of time in the kitchen and still wants to get your Force Friday on in cooling style?

There are options beyond the Han Solo Ice Cube tray that you might have seen, which is still awesome by the way. How about a pizza cutter with light saber sounds, Star Wars X-Wing Bottle Opener or a R2D2 Bottle Stopper for those thirsty wine drinking Jedis?

Rent LEGO sets from Pley-worry free about lost bricks

The yin yang of LEGO is that they are awesome. Literally everything is awesome when you’re building and playing with LEGO. The yang is that if you lose a piece to one of the set you risk not having it stay together. The sibling that intentionally hides a piece or two so that the older one can’t finish it, the dog that tasted spaghetti sauce or the sofa that ‘eats’ them-there is a reason the small pieces disappear. Pley is a company that rents LEGO sets. If you lose a piece, no problem, just let them know and you won’t be charged for it.

Sonic Boom Tails’ Plane with Tails is durable, active play kids 4 and up

Well hello Sonic; I knew you as a video game back in the day, now you’re back as a show on Cartoon Network and a lineup of toys to boot. First off, I’d like to thank you for not being in Pixels. We’ve heard nothing but negative things about that film and we like you just fine on your television show.  It’s great that Tails is getting some attention too. While you’re the namesake, Tails’ ability to fix things and flip about has always been something that we’d like to emulate. We played with Tails’ Plane with Tails and aside from the way our mind twists due to the number of times we said tails, the toy is quite nice and is one that our five year old likes to fly around the house.
