Moms with Apps-mandatory for parents with kids & technology #Ad

This post is brought to you by Moms with Apps and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own.  For years I browsed the app store and Google Play in search of the best apps for our kids.  I downloaded dozens, nay, perhaps hundreds of apps looking for ones that would teach or entertain our children.  I look at our tablets now and there are only three apps- out of all of those that they still play regularly. Some of the apps were awful from the get go, while others simply lost their mojo or had windows where the kids could purchase things.  Moms with Apps changes all of that by sorting, organizing and classifying apps according to a myriad of categories.

In the past 3 years I’ve dropped my smartphone twice.  Unfortunately both of those times were in the past 6 months and in both cases the screen shattered like the heart of a lovelorn teenager.  Both times the screen was replaced and now I have a much higher quality casing to protect it.  If you have an iPad then you need to get in on this giveaway for an Impact Folio Case by Tech 21.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Milano Starship review

By now you know that we’re fans of Guardians of the Galaxy.  We’re not purist fans that are true to the characters that originated back in the day.  We’ve been following them since issue #1 of the re-boot comic- not that I’m pretending to be a purist or uber fan by pointing that out or anything.  We were sent the Guardians of the Galaxy Milano Spaceship to play with, possibly review and imagine ourselves as Star-Lord, Rocket or Groot.

A non-tech review of the D-Link Wireless Range Extender

I’m not a tech guy.  Recently we had two tech issues that challenged me and provided the perfect testing opportunity for the D-Link Wireless Range Extender, the DAP-1320.  It was such a perfect testing opportunity that it’s possibly they sabatoged our internet and planted the idea to move our office to the other end of the house.  Did the D-Link do the trick?

Big Blastin’ Rocket Raccoon review: action figure or collectible?

Big Blastin’ Rocket Raccoon is 10” of smack talking genetically modified plastic raccoon that moves when his gun fires.  Press his leg or the button on this gun and his torso will shake forward while the gun lights up.  This is a fun toy-and our kids love playing with it, but there is something about it that blurs my line between an action figure and collectible.

Peppa Pig: The Balloon Ride out on digital and DVD

The amount of British programming that our children watch almost qualifies us for dual citizenship. The latest cannon to enter our fray is Peppa Pig.  It’s huge in the UK as it’s been the number #1 pre-school property for the past four years and is utterly charming, for certain demographics.
