I do like my caffeine. Most of the time it’s iced, sometimes it’s hot, but it’s always caffeine and somehow, magically makes the day become 5:00 so much quicker. I remember the first time I discovered that you could have an herb garden at your house. It was in the Italian Mediterranean, near the mountain principality of Seborga. One of my friends casually mentioned that he was going outside to get some fresh basil for the pasta. Woah, you can just go out and pick basil-you Italians have it going on, I thought to myself.
Of course, since then I’ve planted herb gardens of my own and have been quite successful at it. Now that I have a child who’s old enough to help I’ve discovered a couple of ways that they can genuinely help out.
