A rattle is a rattle. We received lots of them for each child when they were born. They were silver or multicolored plastic, made a rattling sound and did everything a rattle should do. But what if a rattle could do more than just make a shaking noise when a baby moves it? A NogginStik is just that, it’s bumpy on the stick part, has multicolored lights and a mirror on the bottom of it. Continue reading NogginStik is the rattle that you wish you had as newborn

Cypher Kids Club is a 3D interactive app that kids will really enjoy
We’ve been teaching 3YO Mojo his ABCs since he was nine months old using karuata. Karuata is done by having whatever you’re trying to learn on cardboard flashcards, repeating them and then having your student slap the card when you say the object. Cypher Kids Club takes karuta and blends it into a 3D app for your Apple devices to make learning fun for kids. Continue reading Cypher Kids Club is a 3D interactive app that kids will really enjoy
Book review: Even Aliens Need Snacks by Matthew McElligott
Even Aliens Need Snacks is the story about a young boy who likes to cook. He helps his mother in the kitchen and creates his own recipes until his sister makes fun of him by saying that nobody would eat his recipes. The brother then sets out to prove his sister wrong (as any brother would do) by setting up snack stand in his front yard. Continue reading Book review: Even Aliens Need Snacks by Matthew McElligott
You’d be crazy not to like OH, NUTS! by Tammi Sauer
As a dad, some of the best books that I can read to my children are those that I can enjoy too. I also don’t want there to be too many words and if I can read it without putting my glasses on that’s a plus. With those classifiers in mind, OH, NUTS! is a fabulous book. It’s clever enough to keep adults entertained; the children will love the illustrations and learn a life lesson about being happy. Continue reading You’d be crazy not to like OH, NUTS! by Tammi Sauer
Psychobaby-truly unique kid’s clothing, review and giveaway

Of course they have the relative music staples, but they also have AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, KISS and The Ramones. For my wife and I The Ramones have always provided a bonding moment for us. Streaming movies on Vudu is not magic, but it sure makes viewing easy
Streaming movies sounds so hip and modern. If that were the case then I would be akin to a cartoon caveman, still moving his car around with his feet. Our computer is not hooked up to the TV (yet….) and until recently streaming movies sounded like something more George Jetson than Fred Flintstone. Continue reading Streaming movies on Vudu is not magic, but it sure makes viewing easy
Wreck It Ralph is the most entertaining animated movie since Toy Story
I know what you’re thinking. What about Up, WALL E OR Toy Story 2 or 3? Yes, I saw all of those and they are marvelous. However, they weren’t as overall entertaining as Wreck It Ralph. Continue reading Wreck It Ralph is the most entertaining animated movie since Toy Story
Taken 2 is exactly what you want it to be
When Taken came out in 2008 it was a movie that my wife and I loved. For me it brought back memories of classic Eastwood and Bronson, but with more plot development and bigger stunts. Taken also had an artsy vibe to it that legitimized it as more than an action movie. Continue reading Taken 2 is exactly what you want it to be
