There’s a lot going on in that headline, let me explain. I was asked to do a review for BloomNation. BloomNation has a variety of floral services, from the standard dozen roses to intricate works of art from flower artisans. Ikebana is the Japanese term for ‘floral design’ and usually focuses much more on the art, than the flowers. Continue reading Ordering flowers from BloomNation, an ikebana style flower delivery

The Great Lollipop Caper-ridiculously clever and really funny
The Great Lollipop Caper by Dan Krall is the title of the book and an allegory. Allegory sounds like a serious Shakespearean word that can’t possible denote anything fun or light. Ah, but The Great Lollipop Caper is allegory at its finest, aimed at children, but with adults possibly getting the most enjoyment out of the book. Iron Man 3 is less Iron, more Man-but very entertaining
The next movie after an excellent movie is challenging. Iron Man 3 and The Dark Knight Rises should go bowling. They’d talk about how great they were, mention their previous entries and then Iron Man mentions that his previous movie was actually The Avengers. Then Batman would laugh, talk about the Justice League Movie (yeah…right) and Iron Man would go on talking about Avengers 2. Continue reading Iron Man 3 is less Iron, more Man-but very entertaining

Well, the 3 year old lives here, the game is intended for ages 5 and up; but I couldn’t very kick my son out of the house for a couple hours while we play with Angry Birds Star Wars could I? Dad reads Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith: Spiral
It took me a while to warm up to the Star Wars comics, but I’m enjoying them now. Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith-Spiral takes places when The Old Republic is peacefully governing the galaxy. The only trouble that can be found are the battles between the Jedi of old and the Sith. Continue reading Dad reads Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith: Spiral
David Carter’s 100-a fun, rabbit hole way to learn counting
Our 3.5 year old is just learning how to count past 20. He immediately liked David Carter’s 100 when he saw the book because of the crisp, bright illustrations. I didn’t realize how good the book was though until our 8 year old niece came over and started to look through the book. Continue reading David Carter’s 100-a fun, rabbit hole way to learn counting
G.I. Joe: Cobra-Oktober Guard is enjoyable noir Spy
This month is turning into all Joe all the time. What with the movie (a sequel has already been green lit!) and me reading G.I. Joe: Cobra-Oktober Guard I’m all but casting my left hand into a kung fu grip. Oktober Guard is a different kind of Joe graphic novel, which is a great thing, especially after my last experience.
