Daddy Mojo at the Movies-Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
We stopped watching Pirates of the Caribbean after the second one. Me and my then future wife saw it in the theaters and it was OK, a little long and ended as a cliff hanger. Any movie that ends in a curt manner with a cliffhanger shall have a pox on their franchise in the Mojo house. That includes Back to the Future Part 2, as well as, the upcoming Harry Potter and Twilight. Continue reading Daddy Mojo at the Movies-Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
Daddy Mojo reviews: BubCap for your iPhone or iPad
Ask anybody with a toddler and an iPhone or iPad and you’ll get the same response-“they won’t give it back”! Our toddler is just 19 months old and loves, absolute loves our iPad. The fact that he can control, learn and play with it makes his iPad time something he looks forward to. Granted, he doesn’t know when iPad time is, as it usually occurs when he’s on the verge of a melt down or needs something to hold his attention. Hey Dads-The Atlanta Baby & Child Expo is this weekend
Everybody in the Mojo house is excited as we’re expecting our second child in October. Just because we run a parenting blog don’t think that we know everything about being a dad, much less being a father to an infant. Infancy was more than a year ago and I have trouble remembering what we saw on television last night. I think it was Bait Car, but can’t be too sure. An onion is a small thing isn’t it? At this stage of the pregnancy game your unborn child is the size of an onion. Not The Onion mind you, unless the father has a superb ability to write fake news stories. Continue reading Week 17-Mom and Dad, your baby is the size of an onion!
How waiting tables can help you be a better parent
Working as a waiter in a restaurant is one of those life skills that you don’t realize is a life skill when you’re doing it. Similar to some people I worked as a waiter when I was between jobs or attending school. I didn’t realize it at the time, but those skills that I learned during those many restaurants have improved who I’ve become as a parent. What does a stay at home dad do on Mother’s Day?
In a stereotypical situation the mom takes care of the kids, goes shopping, does some errands and cooks. In those situations the ideal gift for Mother’s Day is a day at the spa or time away from the family. This would leave the father in charge of the family where it’s presumed that the house would implode, the hot water heater would burst; no diapers would be changed and if they were it would result in the babies poop ending up on dad’s face.

April iPad apps that will entertain toddlers
Our iPad is a great piece of machinery. As Toddler Mojo gets older we’re learning more and more that it can be an invaluable tool in educating him and keeping dad sane. The iPad sure isn’t a toy. However, all of those stories you hear about children loving the iPad are true and sometimes those quiet moments your child has with it are priceless.
Here are three great apps that can really help out mom and dad when yon toddler needs a distraction. Continue reading April iPad apps that will entertain toddlers
