We’re part of the Stream Team for Netflix and were compensated for this post. All thoughts are our own. My wife and I binge watch. We’ll find a show that both of us agree on and watch every episode. It’s the TV equivalent of a box of doughnuts. As a way to shake things up I took a moment to scroll through categories that are rarely visited from us and found two incredible films. Raiders!: The Story of the Greatest Fan Film Ever Made and Chuck Norris vs. Communism. Both are documentaries on Netflix, but are engaging enough to cast a wide net of entertainment that’ll grip anyone with memories of the 80’s.

Pass the Windex and enjoy the rom com. When I married my wife I knew that there were a couple of her go-to movies that I would have to tolerate, enjoy or leave the room. My Big Fat Greek Wedding was one of those that I grew to enjoy. I don’t enjoy it as much as her or her friends, but it’s very fun to watch, even on repeated viewings. 14 years later My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 is out on video and will provide everything that you liked about the first one, without going back simply for servings of nostalgia.
We’re part of the #StreamTeam and were compensated for this post. All thoughts are our own. Much in the same way that Trollhunter is distinctly Norwegian, Amelie is French and IP Man is Chinese there are countless movies on Netflix that are utterly American. This is a list of movies or shows that are pure Americana. They might not be classic, but they’ve got a style, star or personality that, for better or worse, could only be from the U.S.A. Enjoy the 4th of July and revel in this list of Americana entertainment. Did we miss anything? Is your favorite here?
Hey there, we’re part of the #StreamTeam for Netflix and were compensated for this post. All thoughts are our own. Summer! School is out and parents need something fun to watch that might be new, bring back memories or otherwise entertaining to be a fly on the wall in someone’s life. We found lots of great documentaries on Netflix and wanted to highlight these six that remind us of things, teach us the value of never giving up and the precious times of a boy and his imaginary pet tiger.
Hey, we’re part of the #StreamTeam for Netflix and were compensated for this post. Having said that, all thoughts are our own and these shows are off the chain. Hello Mother’s Day! This time of year always gets me thinking about the moms that are most influential in my life and the classic moms on Netflix. These are the moms that, for better or worse, are awesome. Some of the moms I grew up with and a couple are more current, but whose personality and bravado make for incredible viewing.
Even if the Daddy’s Home, starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg slipped through your movie radar you heard about this scene. It’s the scene where Will Ferrel’s character, Brad Whitaker is attempting to be the cool step-dad at a basketball game. He’s trying to make a long distance shot but accidently pummels the ball at a cheerleader’s face. This stunt went viral in the news and gossip sites and its planning is laid out in the Daddy’s Home Blu-ray Combo Pack.
The film takes a funny look at how a step-dad, who isn’t as cool as the biological dad as their competition for the family’s affection things go sideways quickly. The Daddy’s Home Blu-ray Combo Pack has 45 minutes of extra content including various making of features, deleted scenes and bloopers. Bloopers in a film that stars two very funny people-we’re in. The combo pack also has a digital copy of the film so you can take the daddy funny on the run to view in the cloud.
Bonus: the Daddy’s Home Blu-ray combo pack comes with a coupon for $15 off sports tickets when you purchase them through Ticketmaster. The film is rated PG-13 for suggestive content, bad language and thematic elements. Parents can read between the lines and figure out that it’s a little crude, but not hard enough obviously to merit an R rating.

We were compensated for this post. All thoughts are our own and these shows really do rock. Relaxation is a prime commodity. There are some weeks where my wife and I don’t get any down time. More often than not we have to schedule the relaxation period. “44 minutes of relaxation?” is our query. I have my shows, she has her shows and we have our shows that we’ll watch on Netflix. It depends on who is able to relax. If I’m solo then it’s Luther, Continuum or other. She’s down with Gilmore Girls (shocker!) and together we really enjoy Person of Interest. There are a couple other shows thought that might just fly below your radar that are worth checking out on Netflix.
