What’s the best way to cut an avocado?

We love avocados in our house.  It’s nature’s butter and is great on anything. Additionally, the lifespan of an avocado is frustrating, it’s perfect for seemingly one day and then it’s too ripe to eat all of it.  So, what is the best way to cut an avocado?  Using a spoon to scoop out the avocado never felt like the right way to do it.  It wastes too much, takes take too long and produces a mash of avocado that was tasty, but had very poor presentation.

Family pizza night tips with Pillsbury Pizza Crust #PBPizzaNight

We do family pizza night at least once a week.  Personally I’ll do pizza up to 3 times a week, but don’t tell my wife.  However, every Friday I cook pizza for the boys.  We usually buy the pre rolled pizza dough in the plastic container at the grocery store.  However, recently I got an email* by Mr. Poppin’ Fresh himself, letting me know that the Pillsbury Pizza Crust is new to the market.

Relaxing with the new Wahl Hot/Cold Massaging Gel Pack #Ad

I received a Wahl Massager product for the purpose of this review. This post was made possible by Mom Spark Media. Thoughts are my own.  I like to relax.  Staying at home with two young boys I need to relax.  Sometimes the two are difficult to rectify and are more likely than not at opposite ends of what can possible happen.  I have a heat pad, it’s the circular thing that you microwave for: 90 and then lay on it.  The new Wahl Hot/Cold Massaging Gel Pack takes the circular thing and makes it seem quaint and old school by doing two simple things.

The Rainbow Bridge is not a sequel to the Rainbow Connection

To those without pets The Rainbow Bridge could be confused with the song from Kermit the Frog, The Rainbow Connection.  In reality the rainbow bridge is a euphemism for a pet dying.  If you’re like me then ‘sexual’ is often implied with euphemism, which is much more pleasant than this euphemism.  In this case hide the sausage and feed the kitty take back seat to the more permanent process of putting a terminally sick pet to sleep.

The Pocket Hose review: cheap design and easily broken

I have an unwritten rule:  Never, ever buy anything that I see “As Seen on TV”.  If that product makes it to the store, then I might give it a shot.  Enter the Pocket Hose, it seems logical that it should work, my traditional hose is heavy and this is only $20, so I’ll give it a shot.  Alas, this pocket hose review does not have a happy ending as two of them broke within one week of use. Curious about critters? Win an #OrkinMan Education Kit & Flashlight

Our previous house was built around 1910.  It had heart of pine wood throughout, original windows and spaces where the floor and walls weren’t joined tightly.  That was all the space needed for bugs of all sort to come in and explore.  If I had the Orkin Home Education Kit then I could’ve identified the many small pests and critters that were trying to meet me.
