Yup. Use these free passes to World of Coca-Cola during Spring Break or over the summer. It could be on your drive through Atlanta when you’re just spending a couple of nights. We visit World of Coca Cola about three times a year and the kids absolutely love it. Granted their favorite area is the Tasting Room, where they can sample hundreds of different Coca-Cola products from all over the world, but thankfully that’s at the end of the tour. They also like to see the robot arm, vintage Coca-Cola products, the Coca-Cola Polar Bear and more. For a seemingly simple tourist destination we always spend 2.5 hours there-and we’ve been dozens of times.

A first time visitor to World of Coca-Cola will easily spend more than 3 hours there. The facility is large and has lots of space for kids to walk, explore their curiosity, ask dozens of questions and then get cups upon cups of Coca-Cola products from Beijing, Peru, Egypt and more, in addition the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. We prefer traditional Coca-Cola with a hint of lime, just in case you’re interested.

Win a pair of passes to see #Newsies in Atlanta, #NewsiesForever

Way back in 1992 Disney made a musical film about the newsboy strike of 1899. Then in 2012 it opened as a Broadway play where it lasted for two and a half years. One of those shows was extra special because it had numerous cameras around the stage filming every angle possible. Now Newsies is ready to leave the Broadway stage and go straight to your local cinema.

Holiday In The Park at Six Flags Over Georgia-lights and more

The kids and I attended Six Flags Over Georgia Holiday In the Park last year for the first time. On the way home that night I phoned my wife and let her know that next year when we attend it would be a family trip. They install over 1,000,000 lights at Six Flags Over Georgia to transform it into Holiday in the Park, a winter carnival with thrill rides, bubble snow and a train ride to Santa.

Holiday In The Park happens at Six Flags Over Georgia adorns the park with over 1,000,000 lights, plus their trademark roller coasters and fun.

Monster Jam is a family must-see, back in Atlanta on Jan 14

Who would have thought that my mind’s rolodex would have our visit to Monster Jam as one of the best family memories of the year? Prior to going to Monster Jam it wasn’t us for sure. However, if your family has ever been to Monster Jam it’s likely that you agree with us and have been counting down to when it comes back to your area.

Monster Jam consists of a race, as well as a freestyle competition with trucks on massive wheels jumping and even flipping themselves to the delight of tens of thousands of fans.

Our oldest nor I knew anything about Monster Jam before going. Granted the title and premise of the event is enough to tantalize the imagination of a six year old (and myself), but we weren’t expecting entertainment on such a huge scale.

Thankful for play and great memories because of it

I’m a Let’s Play Ambassador and was compensated for this post. All thoughts are our own. My wife sometimes jokes with me because I don’t remember much of my childhood. I remember things here and there, but they mostly revolve around play, some neighborhood friends and the parks we used to frequent. It’s selective memory-and I do try to remember the feelings that my wife so desperately want to hear about.  However, when the rubber hits the road I always remember the fun, the play.

It was those horrible games of soccer on the field that was too short. If you kicked the ball too high on one side of the field it would go into the fenced in dog area, kick it the other direction and it would go into the creek. The only thing missing from this game of soccer apparently was a crew of Lost Boys and a gasoline shortage.

As as adult I wrote down what I remember about play-and how I can make it better-and more memorable for our kids. Check out the article over at the Let’s Play website.
