We wanted a new shower head. The old one was gold plated, peeling and looked like it was from the 80s; and not the good 80s either, the bad 80s. Yup, the 80s’s had great moments, but this shower head was more like Saga than Pat Benetar and that’s not a good thing. Continue reading DIY a Stay at Home Dad can do-A new shower head

The evolution of guy to husband to dad: The Music
In the early 90s, when I had just gotten out of college I remember seeing an editorial cartoon. It showed two slackers at the garbage dump, in front of a pile of old LPs, CDs and a sign over a third pile that said ‘the next music format’. “What could be greater than CD’s?” I thought. Until music starts being piped in through brain waves I guess MP3s are as good as it gets. Continue reading The evolution of guy to husband to dad: The Music
The evolution of guy to husband to father: The Wardrobe
Guys are a tricky lot. Sometimes aspects of our personality or behavior may not be what are best for hygiene, friendships or employment. Part of that trickiness* can be attributed to youth, while other traits can only be laid solely on the backs of our Guy DNA. Continue reading The evolution of guy to husband to father: The Wardrobe
Daddy Mojo asks, “What are the top 5 Jackie Chan movies?”
Jackie Chan is a martial arts super hero. He has also starred in almost 100 movies, not all of them are good or even worth watching. When I lived in Japan I had a chance to watch most of his pre 1994 movies.

Do bad dads deserve a second or third chance?
Perhaps it’s unfair to call Charlie Sheen a bad dad. I do not know the man and his parenting style could be very healthy and sound. A parent’s view on Skins and a la carte television stations
As the parent to a toddler who just figured out that they can turn on the television I say who’s up for a good discussion on whether Skins is really child porn? No? Ok, let’s engage in a debate over how the UK version of the show is much racier and the U.S. version is nothing, so us tight underwear Americans should chill out. Continue reading A parent’s view on Skins and a la carte television stations
Daddy Mojo reviews: Husky 20 Piece T-Handle Driver Set
Some products need to be reinvented or improved upon. A prime example of that are those curvy new light bulbs that are supposed to last 8 times longer. Yeah, we got some for the house, they light up just fine and I’ve reaffirmed my street cred with Captain Planet. We’ve seen these new screwdrivers in our local home improvement stores, but really, how can you improve on a screwdriver? Continue reading Daddy Mojo reviews: Husky 20 Piece T-Handle Driver Set
Should you let your children play with your Star Wars stuff?
It’s a fine line between collector, pack rat and starring in Hoarders. Now that I’m a dad the line is still fine and I’m trying to figure out where some of my stuff falls. Today I’ll focus on all of the Star Wars stuff. Continue reading Should you let your children play with your Star Wars stuff?
