Jim Carrey is Mr. Popper. He’s a successful 30 something real estate developer in NYC who has a knack for acquiring impossible deals. One aspect of his professional success and personal demeanor is driven by the fact that his father didn’t spend much time with him as a child. His father was exploring the world including the South Pole, from whence the penguins in the title come from. Continue reading Daddy Mojo at the Movies: Mr. Poppers Penguins

Dad wears a Land’s End Mesh Polo, giveaway and review
Prior to getting married I was a true slob. I cleaned my house with a leaf blower, only wore rock and roll concert t shirts, slept on a futon that was on the floor and took cold showers for months because I was too lazy to turn the hot water heater on. It seems like only yesterday I was a freewheeling childless guy who didn’t have a clue about what to expect in regards to raising children. The learning curve from expectant father to Dad is huge and there are loads of questions that you don’t know you need to ask.
The old saying, you don’t know what you don’t know applies very well to expectant fathers. You’re looking forward to it, but there is so much to learn and the only way to gain that knowledge is through experience. It’s the yin and yang of parenting.
