Planning our Miles From Tomorrowland party #Spon

We were compensated or provided product for this post. All thoughts are our own. How to entertain a kitchen full of kids who are craving adventures from the Callisto family. Miles Callisto and his family travel through space engaging in all kinds of adventures with aliens, a robot ostrich who help Miles and other fun characters. The show is a big hit with our kids and they love watching it whenever they go somewhere that has cable-hello grandma’s house! We planned a party with a group of our oldest child’s friends, complete with some Miles From Tomorrowland toys, here’s what we learned.

Klondike Kandy Bar, the nexus of ice cream and candy #IC #AD

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Klondike. I received free product coupons to facilitate my review as well as compensation for my participation. The dog days of summer are a cruel thing indeed. It’s the stuffy, heat blanket of summer that covers you when all you want to do is dig into something cold. Using a spoon to dig into your ice cream is so 2005 and not having candy bars mixed with your ice cream has always been inexcusable. Klondike has solved this issue by having a magical infusion of the candy bars that we know and love, with the convenient packaging that we’re already eating.

The Incredible Three and a Half Superheroes, not super or OK for young kids

The Incredible Three and a Half Superheroes, should in theory be a middle school book that I would love and highly recommend. It’s about superheroes, has loose happy drawings sprinkled throughout the book and has a playful vibe about it. And for a while it was all of those things, but then the book hit a couple four letter speed bumps and knocked the entire thing off course for us.

HH Gregg for Father’s Day and beyond makes cents #ad

We were compensated for this post. All thoughts are our own, our money saving, technology loving own. Today we went to the Ultimate Chore Challenge Obstacle Course at an HH Gregg near us. It was a one day event where people could compete in basic household chores for the chance to win big prizes.  There were plenty of kids involved in the activities and there are even lots of options for everyone to win, especially on Father’s Day.

Gorillas In Our Midst: big plans, average outcome

The biggest thing you’ll immediately notice about Gorillas In Our Midst is its size. This is one big book.  It’s so much larger than other children’s books that you’ll subconsciously assume that it’s that much better. Gorillas In Our Midst is the story of a young boy who is trying to convince people that gorillas are everywhere, hiding in plain sight.

Rhymoceros, as cute as it sounds for toddlers learning words

Rhymoceros is a thick book.  It’s a big board book with 16 images of a rhinoceros. To be clear, it’s the same 16 pictures of the rhinoceros doing some very silly things. In some he’s holding a balloon while on the page directly opposite that he’s standing in front of the moon. This is a rhyming book for the small ones that is sweet, creative and just slightly goofy.

Kiditec is the best building block toy you’ve never heard of

We received a copy of the toy for review.  All thoughts are our own and not something we just put together…..  Just what parent’s need, another building block toy.  But wait, Kiditec is different and actually fills a void.  Imagine a durable, building block toy that your child can construct with plastic screws and a big plastic screwdriver.  This toy has wheels, can move and be built upon any number of ways.  Its only limit are the number of pieces you have and your child’s imagination.  That is Kiditec.

Need to upgrade your photo tech? Best Buy has it all

The reviewer has been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free.  Even before I was a dad I loved photography.  It gave me the chance to chronicle my trips and travels.  Today’s new cameras make me thankful for the images I was able to capture and let’s my mind wander about the prospects of me travelling with a high quality digital camera.  There are lots of cameras at Best Buy, but they’ve got some storming deals on three of them in particular now; all of which I’ve played with and one that I own and use every day.  Plus all three are equipped with built in WI-FI.
