In summer after the sixth grade I was still looking for a sport to play. One day while playing neighborhood football I caught a kick off and ran for a touchdown. This was now my game. I lifted hard that summer, drank raw eggs and exercised lots but didn’t play football oddly enough. Late that summer I played football again. I caught the ball, ran and got hit-hit hard. It may not have been a hard hit, but it was enough for me to realize that I didn’t like getting hit and needed to find another sport. Thankfully at that time a young upstart comedian was in a movie called Meatballs that would show me the sport that would define my teen years.

Pointing Fingers is a group question and answer game from Hasbro. It takes at least three people and can accommodate as many as six players at a time. The game can provide big laughs once it gets going and definitely works better the more people that play it.

My wife loves photos. Truth be told I take 99% of the photos that we have, so I like photos too. She is the more creative gift giver in the house without a doubt and calendars, cards or photo reprints are her go to gifts. Rite Aid has some groovy coupons that they asked me to share with you and offered up a canvas print and some customized photo cards for one lucky winner also.
Having two children means entering the world of block based building toys. On the positive side they encourage analytical thinking, dexterity and creativity. On the negative side they feel like sand spurs when you step on them and you’ll rue the day that you lost that 1 tiny piece. Regardless we jump in with both feet, eagerly dig the Transformers Construct-Bots and are giving away a pair of them!

We played with the Octonauts Octopod Playset, more specifically, our children played with it. They loved it and it provided hours of creative free play with Barnacles, Kwazii and various sea creatures whom they rescued. Eventually the farm animals made their way to the Octopod and it was all manner of imaginative play. I grin as I write this because I’m itching to see Homefront. Plus I just feel manlier being able to give something away that Jason Statham actually touched. Homefront is the new Jason Statham movie and in this one he’s showcasing his softer side. To me that means he’ll whip your butt with a pillow instead of his fists. Actually it’s more of a personal story about a DEA agent (Statham) who moves to a small town where he tangles with the local drug dealer played by James Franco.
