I’m a DIY guy. I also know my limitations. That deck that I build 10 years ago? Yeah, I should’ve had someone else do that. The deck is still strong, but it’s not the deck that I wanted. LeapFrog Letter Factory : The Letter Machine Rescue Team giveaway

Our boys are raised on Leap, Tad and the other critters that make up the LeapFrog videos. We started teaching phonics to our oldest and I partially credit their phonic usage in his being able to read sight word and fully know his A, B, Cs as well as he does. Their latest video, Letter Factory: The Letter Machine Rescue Team gets the band back together, but also amps up the education while tweaking the format.

Marvel Super Hero Mashers mash up toys giveaway

The other day we reviewed Hasbro’s Marvel Super Hero Mashers. It’s a mash-up action figure that allows you to put heads, arms and legs onto the torso of other super heroes. That way you could have a Doctor Doom/Spidey/Hulk/Thor figure that would be an angry Norse God with a metal mask that can swing from webs. The creation is up to you, but we’re also giving one Marvel Super Hero Mashers away.

Who’s your cartoon crush? A #WBValentine DVD Giveaway

I just asked my wife who her cartoon crush was. At first he said it was Superman, which I found very patriotic and take charge of her. She then corrected herself and said Mickey Mouse. I pressed her as to why and she said that it was because he’s a take charge mouse who solves problems and is an entrepreneur. Regardless of who your cartoon crush is Warner Bros is giving away a DVD that features some of their best characters, perfect for the whole family.

Part of the joy of being a parent is having fun with your children. Dinosaur Train is the rare children’s television show that has wit, intelligence, humor, teachable moments and education in the same package.
