The intersection of car & art: Dream Cars at the High Museum of Art

The car I drive is never something that I’ve worried about too much; as long as it gets me from point A to B.  My father has the car bug, that desire to get the newest, latest vehicle that can do things slightly better than last year’s model.   He didn’t pass that gene to me.   I am however, into the weird and creative.  Dream Cars, the new exhibit this summer at the High Museum of Art is an art exhibit for gear heads, surrealists, engineers and pop culture people.

Going to the World of Coca-Cola? Get the Explorer app

Hey tourists-welcome to Atlanta!  If you’re coming in the summer, it’s going to be hot, but we’ll still be friendly.  One of the places that you’ll most certainly visit is the World of Coca-Cola.  Being a local this was one of the last attractions that I visited in the city.  However, the more I visit, the more I enjoy it and the Explorer app that they’ve release will help visitors regardless if it’s your first or fifth visit.

The Sea Pines Beach Club-a welcome addition to Hilton Head Island

Our family vacations at Hilton Head Island some summers.  It’s a great place to relax, but one thing that has always been lacking is another place to eat and drink where you can see the water or go on the beach.  The Beach House near Coligny Plaza was that one place, it’s still is great and we’ll go there again.  However, the Sea Pines Beach Club has just reopened, having undergone an 18 million dollar renovation and contrary to some tourists on Hilton Head Island, it’s open to the public.

Camping and the Northwest Territory 8 Person Instant Tent #KmartSummerFun #Ad

The Mojo household is a virtual feast of activity during the day. From changing diapers to teaching our oldest to use the scooter, our outdoor activities run the gamut during the summer. It was no surprise that we were stumbling over each other to use the Northwest Territory 8 Person Instant Cabin Tent in the backyard.

Six Flags Over Georgia: Hurricane Harbor review

Summer 2014 brings the biggest expansion in the history of Six Flags Over Georgia to the theme park.  Hurricane Harbor offers over 7 acres of new water rides that can provide parents a needed break in these final weeks of summer.  In total Hurricane Harbor has three new attractions and one very large renamed one, Paradise Island that was simple annexed into that area.

7 years ago I married my best friend-Happy Anniversary~!

Children are the barometers of life.  Just as the high pressure system brings certain weather, when children hit a certain age parents have a vague expectation of what to expect.  Before our family weather system started there was a marriage; the date that started the union which begets the anniversary and a series of reminders on Google weeks prior to that special day.

In a way, the dogs are responsible for us meeting and the proposal

Spread the word to help A Blogger and a Father #Cancer

Car and computer problems.  Both of them stop our day’s cold in their tracks and piss us off royally.  Why today?  It may not be a good day for either of them; but the day that it happens-when you’re not expecting seems like the worst day for it ever.   Then something major happens and you wish for car or computer problems.  A friend to the blogging community is going through something like that, stage 4 Cancer, here’s his story and how you can help.

National Backyard Games Week: here are some eco-friendly ways to partake #Spon

Yes, there really is a week designated to National Backyard Games.  Granted it doesn’t have to be backyard games, they could take place in a park of any kind, but they’re games that don’t require much practice, equipment or toll on the environment-other than you falling down with a pillow case or potato sack around your feet.   Every month I write a couple of posts for SC Johnsons in their Green Choices blog.  This is my latest one about eco friendly outdoor games.
