I was old school Superman. In my closet I have hundreds of Superman comics. I saw the first 2 Superman movies in theaters. I was there for the Death of Superman and even the All New 52, which rebooted all of the DC titles. However, shortly after the All New 52 I gave up on Superman. You’d be crazy not to like OH, NUTS! by Tammi Sauer
As a dad, some of the best books that I can read to my children are those that I can enjoy too. I also don’t want there to be too many words and if I can read it without putting my glasses on that’s a plus. With those classifiers in mind, OH, NUTS! is a fabulous book. It’s clever enough to keep adults entertained; the children will love the illustrations and learn a life lesson about being happy. Continue reading You’d be crazy not to like OH, NUTS! by Tammi Sauer
Streaming movies on Vudu is not magic, but it sure makes viewing easy
Streaming movies sounds so hip and modern. If that were the case then I would be akin to a cartoon caveman, still moving his car around with his feet. Our computer is not hooked up to the TV (yet….) and until recently streaming movies sounded like something more George Jetson than Fred Flintstone. Sonic Youth of my Loins II: With a Chorus

Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi Volume 1 review
Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi, Volume 1 collects the five issue mini-series and takes place 25,000 years before the Jedi that we’ve seen in the movies. Continue reading Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi Volume 1 review
Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM is graceful, dangerous fun
The genius of Peter Sellers playing Inspector Clouseau was that the actor was indeed quite intelligent; but the character was an inept, bumbling police officer. My wife summed up what was so amazing about TOTEM, the current Cirque show, in a way that complimented the clowns and made me think of Sellers. Continue reading Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM is graceful, dangerous fun
Skyfall continues the Bond curse, but is the best bond in ages
There is a curse among James Bond movies. One of curses is that every other James Bond movie will be bad, or at least not nearly as good as its predecessor. In good news that is the curse that this movie continues. If you only saw Quantum of Solace and thought that was a James Bond movie, then you owe it to yourself to see Skyfall. Continue reading Skyfall continues the Bond curse, but is the best bond in ages
Nine songs to play at my wake
For the record I don’t want to die, nor do I currently have a life threatening illness. However, from the lifetime (pardon the pun) of special events that I’ve planned and attended I know that our final special event may be lacking something. Continue reading Nine songs to play at my wake
