End of the world and time travel movies are fascinating because, unless they’re really horrible, they look OK from one angle or the other. There is also the steampunk element that make them visually fun, when done right. Oblivion is an end the world movie that’s been compared to a live action version of WALLE. Continue reading Watching Oblivion is not the end of the world-you’ll really like it.

My ride on the #despicablimp
There are things that I never knew I wanted to do until I was presented with the opportunity to do them. After being provided with the opportunity to ride the #despicablimp I knew that this would be one of those things. A. It’s a blimp, and the only time you ever see those things is at major sporting events. B. It’s a Despicalbimp in the shape of a Minion from Despicable Me.
It’s a blimp and a cartoon character. If they served bacon on the flight I would’ve signed up for anything to allow the experience not to end. Continue reading My ride on the #despicablimp
Operation Storm is vivid, approachable history at its best
The Hunt for Red October is based on a true story. What if there was an even bigger story out there involving submarines; that is 100% true and would’ve altered the course of the world had things not happened? Imagine a super submarine, capable of carrying aircraft and that is a game changer. That is exactly what the Japanese built and had deployed just before WWII ended. How many questions does a toddler ask in one day?
Why are stay at home parents so exhausted at the end of the day? I read a sarcastic article that said that parents are tired because of all the questions they answer during a given day. I put forth the question of how many questions does a toddler ask by marking down each time our 3.5 year old asked me a question. Just for the sake of making it fun I also wrote down the questions, hilarity ensues. Continue reading How many questions does a toddler ask in one day?

Thus it may come as no surprise that people who like anime or Japanese culture will love this book. Continue reading The Soul of Anime by Ian Condry is a must read for 2 niche groups
Little Pim foreign language DVD giveaway
Recently we had the chance to review the Little Pim Spanish play DVD. It’s teaches children words in Spanish that revolve around play and our children love it. 3YO Mojo calls it the ‘Panda movie’ and yells to see it. The fact that it’s educational is gravy and makes me feel like superdad with my child yelling at me to learn. Continue reading Little Pim foreign language DVD giveaway
G.I. Joe: Retaliation review, redemption for the franchise
G.I. Joe: Retaliation was supposed to be released in the summer of 2012. It was delayed; people blamed Channing Tatum, the competition it was up against or the filming of the 3D. G.I Joe: Retaliation is fast cutting action that seems like a cousin to the action films of the late 80’s. There are some laugh out loud funny one liners; the plot moves fast, there are dozens of ninjas, The Rock and Bruce Willis. Continue reading G.I. Joe: Retaliation review, redemption for the franchise
Go Joe, ways to honor the military
This week is a busy one. In addition to the work that must be done, I’ve got a couple of meetings and movies that I’m going to. The movie that I’m most jazzed about seeing is definitely G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Obviously, that’s a fictional movie that is geared towards entertaining people. However, there are countless ways for you to help our heroes at home and abroad.
