We’ve been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free. Have you seen Real Steel? It a Hugh Jackman film from 2011 about robot boxing. It’s a fabulous film that my wife even liked, it’s not that she’s a movie snob, she just went in with low expectations-partially due to my constant raving about it. In my ideal man cave I would have a robot boxing ring like this vision of robotic wresting on the Best Buy site.
Wednesday, September 16 is World Play-Doh Day! What exactly did parents do before Play-Doh was invented in 1956? And they only had four colors to entertain the kids with! Now there are over 50 colors, more than two billion Play-Doh cans have been sold and the average time that each separate color is blended into one green/gray color is :60. OK, that last factoid is based exclusively on our house, the amount of time could be shorter or longer in your house.
Hey, we received product for review purposes. All thoughts are our own. I like to grill. For us it’s a year round activity made more fun in the winter months because it’s cold and the grill keeps us warm. We also don’t use lighter fluid. We have the kids go out and collect small twigs, and dead leaves, surround the area with charcoal and start the fire. That was born from an emergency many years ago, but we’ve kept it up and now use it as a way for the kids to earn money. Because of our bare bones grilling style the kids spend time with me when I grill and they got to cook with the Little Tikes Sizzle and Serve Grill.
Just because the parade was the other doesn’t mean that the cosplay photos from Dragon Con let up. In a way the photos only get better because the costumes really shine. The fan groups meet for their group shots, there is a little more room to move around and you’ll see costumes that flew under the radar if all you see is the parade. We saw a proposal (she said yes!) and so much more. Literally, you can take hundreds of photographs at Dragon Con but then you’d stop in the walkway (a big no-no) or put so much pressure on you to take photos that you don’t enjoy it.
We also went to a couple seminars, learned some Sesame Street history, saw a Flash panel, got educated on podcasting and much more. If you like fun and can handle big crowds, put Dragon Con on your “to visit” list next year. Having said that, we’ve still got one more day of seminars and fun.

Howdy, we received a copy of the book for review-all thoughts are our own. Our big fingered, difficult to fold Origami paper own thoughts. One thing I will always remember from when I lived in Japan was this time when a group of us went to a local yakitori. One of my Japanese friends sat down and started folding the napkins into any manner of animals. He did a snake, dragon, shark and more all before our eyes. He was a paper folding Criss Angel. DC Super Heroes Origami would make my friend smile. It has 46 different folding projects of varying difficulty for you to build your own paper version the DC universe.
Hey, hey, we were compensated for this post. All thoughts are our own. We love some movies in this house and have seen some really great ones over the past couple of months. Shaun the Sheep is the best family film of the year for our money. Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation is our favorite PG-13 film and the best action movie this year (so far) is Mad Mad: Fury Road. Going to the movies is a way that our family has fun and really relaxes and Fandango makes going there easier. It eliminates the need to find a seat by purchasing in advance, which makes going out with the fam less stressful. This giveaway is for two (2) $100 gift cards to Fandango to two different people.

Dragon Con is the largest pop culture convention in the U.S. that focuses on sci-fi, fantasy, gaming, comics, music, art and film. That’s quite the boiler plate copy, but it’s true. Dragon Con is more than a place to catch presentations from the cast of Arrow. There are literally hundreds of break- out sessions that are geared to exactly what interests you in the pop culture world. And the cosplay-wow, it’s not required that you come in costume, but thousands of people wear them and they’re really something to marvel. The parade on Saturday morning is one of the highlights of the weekend.
We received product for this post. Having said that, if you have a daughter-you already know and love this brand-plus-#Giveaway!!!! Being the dad of two boys we hadn’t been to many birthday parties at Build-A-Bear. Of course we had heard about them, the birth certificates, accessories and squeals of laughter that accompany such landmark days. We went to our local Build-A-Bear recently to help celebrate the launch of the Lalaloopsy Dolls. It went so well that they offered up a Lalaloopsy Baking Oven and a Lalabration Peanut Big Top Doll as part of #BlogPopEvents
