Win tickets to Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion-in theaters for only 1 showing

I remember seeing Star Wars with my dad in the theater.  That was back in the day and he wasn’t too jazzed about it.  Granted he was probably happy to hang out with me and that I was so happy to go.  It’s a different scene now.  On Saturday, September 27 at 10:45 there will be a one-time showing of Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion at Atlantic Station.

Father’s Day Gift Guide for tech, well dressed, chill dads

Being a dad and running this site I encounter some cool products.  Over the past month I’ve been making a list of them for various reasons.   Some of the items in this Father’s Day gift guide were provided to me for review purposes and some I purchased.  They’re all really cool things and item, items that I love and think that other dads would dig also. Father’s Day is literally just around the corner.  This brings about the whole discussion of wants and needs.  If I need something, like socks or underwear, then I’ll buy it myself.  However, if I want something, I’ll lay subtle or not so subtle hints for the wife.  Sears has you covered with #DestinationDad this year, those with facial hair, manly traits or techy dispositions will all but try to book a weekend stay at their local store to explore the hours of happenings.

Megadeth taught me everything I need to know about children’s medicine

Small children are happy, uncontrollable running laboratories for things that adults can no longer get.  Think Jurassic Park on a microbial level and put those tiny ill tempered Pteranadons in your child.  One day our child had a rash around his mouth.  My wife said, “oh, I bet he has hand, foot and mouth disease”.  My immediate thought was hoof and mouth disease and then I remembered that Megadeth addressed this issue in their classic song Hook in Mouth.

Growing up Rudy the Rabbit, win a 55′ LG TV and the #BigGameChallenge

In summer after the sixth grade I was still looking for a sport to play.  One day while playing neighborhood football I caught a kick off and ran for a touchdown.  This was now my game.  I lifted hard that summer, drank raw eggs and exercised lots but didn’t play football oddly enough.   Late that summer I played football again.  I caught the ball, ran and got hit-hit hard.  It may not have been a hard hit, but it was enough for me to realize that I didn’t like getting hit and needed to find another sport.  Thankfully at that time a young upstart comedian was in a movie called Meatballs that would show me the sport that would define my teen years.
