Horror Pack delivers 4 Blu-ray gore to your door each month

We received this for review purposes. Any scares, lack of sleep or visions of terror are all ours. Horror films aren’t just something that folks appreciate in October. Horror Pack is a company that understands that and has the sole focus of providing them with horror films every month. Each month they ship out four different, new Blu-ray DVDs to people who the scares, monsters, evil and gore that a good horror film can be. Horror Pack is obviously something that is only OK for those over 18, unless you’re a footloose teen into one of those slasher films the kids like.

Horror Pack, Horror, wolfman, the final destination, volumes of blood, digging up the marrow, film horror film, mosters, gore.

Dear #FutureYou, don’t wig out-here are some tips #ad

I partnered with Life of Dad  and Rogaine for this promotion  (Everything in this post regarding our employment is true. Except for the time travel part, that’s just us wishing that we had a TARDIS)

Hey Trey, congratulations on the job you just finished. Once that commercial launches you’ll be able to get your SAG Card! With that you can do all sorts of official acting, extra or voice over stuff, party on. Your next job will be co-hosting for an international toupee infomercial! That means you have a 50/50 chance of being the Ryan Seacrest on this gig, so do your best. You’ll be fitted with a toupee, swim around in a pool with a girl, play tennis-then go to a shopping center and talk to people about ‘the process’.

Youth baseball coach dad wins the internet

Did you see that viral video of the karate teacher telling his student that it was OK to cry? For us this video is right up there with it. The brakes are off of the feel train in a real, unscripted moment that I want to be the standard for youth sports.

As a kid I was never too into team sports. As an adult I recognize the values and lessons that they teach. However, as a kid playing them they just weren’t much fun. Now that I’m the parent I’m cognizant of that and direct our kids into the activities that they want to do, with a little bit of advice too. Having said that, neither of our kids are too attracted to group sports at this point in time, but they are quite young.

It would be too easy to show examples on the other side of the parenting and sports equation. This coach and this parent, 100 times more please.

Making #DadTime with Lowes and home improvement

I have partnered with Life of Dad and Lowe’s for this promotion. One of my best early memories of my dad was when he helped out at my elementary school. The classes were building wooden toy cars and he was there helping put them together. That was one of the first things I remembered when he told my wife that I was always better than him at fixing things. He sends me indirect praise through my wife like that, he’s old school. Now that our kids are getting older I’m doing my best to include them in some quality #DadTime Lowes projects around the house so that I can tell the same thing to their wives in 20 or 30 years.

I jest, I’ll tell them to their faces that they’ll never be able to fix things as well as I can.

Free Men’s Health Screening at Sam’s Club on 6/11

Hey, we were compensated by Sam’s Club, all thoughts are our own. This Saturday, June 11 your local Sam’s Club locations are having free men’s health screenings. Two of my main reasons for caring about my health are in that photo. To be clear, it’s the two little humans in that photo. While I do love dinosaurs, I suspect that one sharp corner would send him running for the hills. I’m slightly more durable. Do you know a guy who could benefit from a free health screening?

Hardworking dads, #Smellegendary on Father’s Day with Old Spice

I have partnered with Life of Dad and Old Spice for this promotion.  Father’s Day is nigh. Here’s what dads want. Well, it’s what most of us want, or rather we don’t want. We don’t want fluff. No doilies, throw pillows, tulle or rosemary. Having said that; we also don’t want to smell bad and to that end Old Spice can help you-or your dad, husband, partner or coworker* #Smellegendary. We’re giving away a toolbox full of things that will help a guy smell good, get dirty, be cool and keep organized for the Hardest Working Dad around.

Hard working dad doesn’t’ shower daily, still #Smellegendary with Old Spice

I partnered with Life of Dad and Old Spice for this promotion. I fell asleep during my son’s karate class today. Last night I worked until midnight, woke up at 6AM, made lunch, breakfast, got the kids to school, worked in the morning and then picked up one of them from school at 11:00. It was his intention to go home and play the Shark Game, but I needed to go to the gym and work out. Suddenly it’s 12:30 PM and I still had to go grocery shopping, do the dishes, fold the laundry and fry the bacon up in a pan-which I would promptly eat. This is the typical day of the Hardest Working Dad. However, because I care for those around me I elected not to smell malodorous I used Old Spice Dirt Destroyer in the shower (no photos from that one-lest ye be 21, pay off our mortgage or go to our non-existent dark web site). On the contrary, I #Smellegendary.  Like marinara sauce on your pizza we also used Old Spice Odor Blocker under the arms-you can’t prove that it’s there, but once you taste it-or don’t smell me in this case, you believe it.

A #Heart2Heart with Pop, wishful thinking and lifestyle choices

Hey, I partnered with Life of Dad and Meta Wellness for this promotion. My dad is not a talker. I’m not a talker either but compared to him I’m Leo Getz. It’s an exercise of patience just to get him to tell me anything beyond how the weather is. Mind you, it is not because he’s not of sound mind, he is just not a talker. Our average phone call lasts about 5 minutes. The Heart 2 Heart campaign is all about men having health conversations with their loved ones. Knowing all of this I called my dad to talk about his health.

My health is better than average; thanks to my wife and my father, both of whom  assisted me using opposite methods. My wife is more of the conversationalist, let’s talk-figure out the problem and not repeat it in the future. I love to watch her and my father talk. He squirms like a worm looking for a wet pile of mud to go hide in.
