Medikidz Explain Seizure Assistance Dogs, a medical comic book kids can relate to

Medikidz is a series of comic books that explain medical conditions.  What is impressive about the series is that they potentially complex conditions in ways that children can relate to and understand.  We received their current comic book Medikidz Explain Seizure Assistance Dogs to look over and it does do a great job breaking down what a seizure is and how an assistance dog can help children with Epilepsy.

The Chicco ACTIV3 Stroller review

The maze of figuring out what stroller to purchase can be really confusing.  The jogging strollers look the coolest to some, but may not be able to accommodate the baby carrier.  A combination stroller of sort is the Chicco ACTIV3 Stroller; it works with children 6 months old to 50 pounds and is good for everyday use, as well as more active occasions.

Children’s birthday party etiquette, presents and more

We just finished going through 4 children’s birthday parties over the past month.  They were for kids 3-10 years old and each one had a different theme.  In one facet or another they were all great, but we learned lots about how much to spend on presents, where to have the party, what to do at the party and how to RSVP that might save you some headaches.

CitiBlocs-as simple or difficult as any age child wants to make them

Children love blocks.  Make a block tower, knock it down and laugh hilariously.  Citiblocs takes that idea, simplifies it and makes it much more complex for older players too.  I use the word players, but it’s not a game; rather it’s a building system that doesn’t have pegs, notches, different sized pieces or is rendered obsolete if you lose a piece.   It’s simply blocks cut to the precise measurements of 1:3:5:15.

Kids not coping with sleeptime? The #BedTimeBattle has an ally with Elo Pillow #ad

That book.  You know the expletive laced book that expresses the feelings when parents, at the end of their leash, internally scream, GO TO BED.   It’s something that all parents might experience at some point.  Some parents deal with children that won’t stay in bed on a nightly basis.  Some just need the occasional gentle push to their children.  The Elo Pillow is ready to be added to your arsenal in the #BedTimeBattle.  It’s a pillow that tells stories to children when their head’s are on the pillow.

Animal Tales by Key Wilde & Mr. Clarke-it’s all ages music you want to hear

Children’s music can send shudders up the spine of people.  It’s too sleepy, dopey, boring or just too much childlike to interest the children, much less the adults who are driving the car.  I am a children’s music novice, but I’m learning that there is some fabulous music out there for children and the adults who will be around them when said music is on.   Key Wilde & Mr. Clarke is a great example of children’s music that kids will want to listen to and that adults will (really) enjoy listening to as well.

Mega Bloks #FirstBuilders Fast Tracks Raceway #giveaway and review

Children love to build.  It could be stacking things that make no reason, traditional blocks or building toys, they’ll build something.   For young children First Builders™ Fast Tracks™ Raceway (pardon the pun) builds on that by allowing kids to build and race cars.  This is a big block set that is perfectly suited for children 1-5.

You Are (Not) Small by Anna Kang is what a (children’s) book should be

Every children’s book has the inert potential to be awesome.  Some of them are great, some good, fewer are OK and a couple are just bad.  The rarest of all children’s books in our house is the book that hooks us immediately and can be re-read without any effort at all.  The Great Lollipop Caper was the last children’s book that caught our attention to the same degree that You Are (Not) Small did.  It’s simple, has big, cute pictures and lets the white space between the images and words tell as much of the story as the written ones themselves.
