We love our garden, even though we don’t know everything about it and often lose more than half of our tomatoes, we love it. There are also blueberries, raspberries and a couple other edibles in there, but their loss is usually greater than 50%. Every city has its peaks and valleys. One of the peaks of living near Atlanta is being so close to Georgia Aquarium. We have annual passes there and visit at least once a month. It’s a cliché to say that Cancer sucks, but it does. It’s the world’s worst night club with the DJ only having one song, it’s one you don’t like and it’s being repeated all night. That song is a Cancer cell, a rogue cell that keeps cloning, over and over. If it spreads, or metastasizes then it’s going to other organs and will cause real damage, in many cases terminal. St. Baldrick’s is happening soon, it’s a fundraiser to raise money for children’s Cancer-can you help?

We went to “Whales: Giants of the Deep” exhibit, because our 4-year-old son is so engaged with animals. I grew up in Atlanta, so I have childhood memories of Fernbank Museum, but experiencing it with my son gave me a whole new perspective.

Part of the joy of being a parent is having fun with your children. Dinosaur Train is the rare children’s television show that has wit, intelligence, humor, teachable moments and education in the same package. The fact that Dinosaur Train is enjoyable for the parent as well makes it even more of a treat. Jim Henson’s Dinosaur Train Live: Buddy’s Big Adventure is traveling the country and will be at Cobb Energy Center for two shows on February 22 at 1 and 4.
