Win tickets to Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion-in theaters for only 1 showing

I remember seeing Star Wars with my dad in the theater.  That was back in the day and he wasn’t too jazzed about it.  Granted he was probably happy to hang out with me and that I was so happy to go.  It’s a different scene now.  On Saturday, September 27 at 10:45 there will be a one-time showing of Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion at Atlantic Station.

Test driving the Ford F-150 during our working staycation

We were compensated to review and drive this vehicle.  All thoughts are our own. As a family we have big and small things, as well as growing people that are carted around every day. Certainly there are days when we need a truck and the massive amount of storage space.  There are big things that I didn’t pick up when we tired the Ford F-150 that I’m kicking myself for.  Our experience with the 2014 Ford all new F-150 is that it’s a big truck that can do lots of hauling and typical truck stuff, but also has the safety and creature comforts that one expects from a family vehicle.

Live reading of Tuesday Tucks Me In at The Children’s Museum of Atlanta on 9/19, 11 AM

Before being a dad I worked in the humane industry.  I did PR, social media and various aspects of management for a large animal shelter.  During my time there I learned about the value and work of a service dog, as well as, the healing powers that animals provide.   On Friday, September 19 at 11 AM, Captain Luis Carlos Montalvan and his service dog Tuesday will be at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta to read their New York Times bestselling book, Tuesday Tucks Me In.

Skyward #9 concludes this story arc-still great all ages comic

When we took a look at Skyward #6 it was awesome.  The series was a fabulous tour de force all ages comic that captured the attention of parents and children.  The final arc of The Battle For Three Rivers ends in issue #9 of Skyward and it’s still very good, but left me wanting more.

The Ice Cream Expedition from National Geographic Kids in Atlanta, 8/20

It’s a cross county road trip with an old ice cream truck, three friends, eco conservation, film making and a dash of National Geographic Kids.  Three friends, Caleb Kruse, Cameron Kruse and Jordan Fatke purchased an old ice cream truck, retrofitted it to run on vegetable oil and are driving around the county this summer.  They’ll be giving away ice cream to children around the county, teaching them about conversation, having them sign a pledge and possibly eat some more ice cream-or maybe that’s me eating some.
