We were compensated for this post. All thoughts are our own and rest assured, we really, really like to eat. “I liked the castle Denny’s daddy”, our oldest said as we drove away. Well, to be fair, it was constructed with lots of big logs, rocks and we drove over a lake (which he could’ve thought was a mote), so in the eyes of a five year old it could look like a castle. Castle setting aside there was no sense of Doom, we were there to eat, learn about the new Fantastic 4 menu items and tell you about how you and a buddy can win a trip to the world premiere of the film.
The boys were pumped to go out to eat. They were so excited that it made me realize that I probably need to have them go out to eat more often. As excited as our oldest was, he was calmed once we got there by the crayons and pending opportunity to order what he wanted to (from the children’s menu!). Had we gone to Denny’s on Tuesday from 4-10PM the kids could’ve eaten free too.
Charlie wasn’t content with coloring so after he pointed to what he wanted went to the stools to imaging climbing something tall, dangerous and possible surrounded by a mote. Actually we gave Charlie a choice of menus items and he pointed to the one that he wanted. Left to his own devices we’d still be at Denny’s waiting for him to decide.
I looked over the menu options and went with a burger. In hindsight I should’ve gone with The Thing Burger. It’s a burger topped with hash browns, an egg cooked to order-but mine would’ve been over easy, bacon, a cheddar bun and topped with Thing sauce. OK, so the Thing sauce would’ve thrown me for a loop, but I’d be game.
That’s one of the Fantastic 4 options on the menu, all themed around the film coming out and bonus: it’s one of the few superhero teams that have adventures that are OK for children. For dessert I ordered the Doom Lava Cake. It’s chocolate cake, topped with premium chocolate ice cream, other goodies and white chocolate chips for good measure. Ironically when it arrived I had two little dooms come to me in hopes of eating some. I wished for a moment that I was the Invisible(wo) Man, but I gave in and shared it before they could use their sonic scream on me.
So do you and a buddy want to win a trip to the Fantastic 4 World Premiere? It’s simple to enter and might get you airfare, entry to the film, two nights at a four-star hotel, $1K gift card for any expenses and $250 for ground transportation. It’s literally zero cash out of pocket and entry is easy.
The special Fantastic 4 menu will be around for a while and is a chance for comic fans to finally eat the way that they want to. Combine that with kids eating Tuesday 4-10PM and the fact that you don’t have to do the dishes and your day will be fantastic.
