Ultimate Spider-Man Magazine, comic and activity for kids 6-12

Ultimate Spider-Man Magazine is one of those activity books that you see in doctor waiting rooms.  It’s packed with color pictures of Spider-Man in action, has dozens of activities, one main comic story and lots of pages with trivia, spot the difference games and more.  The magazine is printed from Redan and our 5 year old loves it, but I can’t buy it for him yet.

If you have a 6-12 year old who loves superheroes and is looking for a magazine that has as much emphasis on education as fun, then this is for you.  Our five year old loves Spider-Man, but is too young to understand and utilize Ultimate Spider-Man Magazine as much as it can be.

There are a couple of games, a spy decoder activity and some detailed tech drawings that he really wants to understand, but can’t read that well yet.  By the time he’s 6 or maybe 7, the Spider-Man magazine from Redan Publishing will be age appropriate for him.  The content is fabulous and great for him now, it’s his ability that needs to grow into the magazine.

What we will do is get him a subscription to the Scooby-Doo magazine and let him master that.  The Scooby-Doo magazine has a suggested reader’s age of 4-9 years old.  We read this magazine in the doctor’s office once and he could read some of it, do the activities with little supervision and had fun doing them.

Redan has a title for every young reader regardless of what they like.  Peppa Pig, Sesame Street, Thomas & Friends, Disney Junior’s Sofia the First and many others that your toddler to tween would like are available.   The wide variety in titles allows kids to relax and really enjoy the magazine without too much help from a parent.

We’ll start with Scooby-Doo and then, when he’s ready sequel to Spider-Man.  This can be done without establishing a new subscription.  Once you subscribe to a magazine  you can switch between titles for free.  This is great for children that demo out of one character or if they’re like us are trying to get to a certain magazine.
