Being a stay at home dad I try not adhere to the stereotype that guys are messier than women. That stereotype was difficult for me not to define because; prior to marriage and becoming a father I was a filthy, filthy man. One area that was especially challenging to me was laundry. I’ll spare you the details, but suffice it to say the fact that I’m proactive on the families’ laundry and can offer good advice on it is an underdog story for the ages.
The first couple months of doing the families laundry were a bit of a challenge. I was separating the whites, darks and baby laundry, but doing the baby stuff always seemed to take more time, mainly because of the bibs. The bibs were always sticking to other clothes and separating them was a waste of time and ended up damaging some items.
Suddenly I had the idea that if I attached the ends of the bibs together then they couldn’t grasp onto the clothing around them.
It’s a simple idea that took me five months into the families laundry process to figure out. Some families have probably figured that out, quite possibly in the first or second load of laundry with bibs.
However, if you haven’t, then I’d start doing it in the next load as it will make your life considerably easier. You can even take credit for the idea, people will think your a laundry wizard!
Note: Daddy Mojo’s wife may have also had a hand in suggesting this mighty laundry tip. However, until she starts her own blog I’m taking credit for it.
