The movies are back baby! Bit by bit, and with each new release seeming to beget a bigger slice of the ‘normal’ life that we all loved back in 2019. Space Jam: A New Legacy is coming to movie theaters on Friday, July 16. Daddy Mojo is pleased to give away 5 four-packs of tickets to the Atlanta sneak preview of Space Jam: A New Legacy when it airs for the first time on July 13.

This sneak preview of Space Jam: A New Legacy will be at 7:00 PM on July 13. Our giveaway for one of the 4-packs of tickets will end at 7:00 PM on July 9. Have you seen one of the new Warner Bros. cartoons on HBO or Cartoon Network? We were scared when they first mentioned that there would be new Bugs Bunny cartoons too. We’ve seen some of the cartoons and can testify that they absolutely made our children laugh. They have the same spirit as the original cartoons, but also have elements that jive with today’s younger audience. Older animation fans might refer to this as the Ren & Stimpy effect.

For example, a character might get his hand smashed by a mallet or place it into a bowl of piranhas. In the old cartoon, they’d simply pull their hand away and viewers would see stars or something like that. Now viewers will see a hand that’s mangled with exaggerated digits or a skeletal appendage. In both cases, the hand will have its flesh restored by the time the next physical gag happens.

We were relieved when we saw the new cartoons. Because of that, we’re very hopeful that Space Jam: A New Legacy lives up to the fun that the first one had in 1996. It’s also great to say hello again to seeing movies in person, which you’ll be able to do with Space Jam opens up on June 16.
