As a kid I was skeptical of going to see Santa. One reason I was anxious-and probably not behaving as well as I normally did was the fact that you had to wait in line. The giver of toys in a bright red suit combined with an unquantifiable period of time in line as you wait does not produce a happy child. Now parents can make appointments to see Santa Claus and this year he’s bring his toy factory with him. Through Sunday, December 24 at North Point Mall you can visit Santa’s Toy Factory and get a photo with the big guy in person.
This is cool. It’s a 1,600 square-foot space that’s been specially constructed to house Santa’s Toy Factory at North Point Mall. In the toy factory kids can “test” new toys before they get delivered to children on Christmas Eve. They can play with some of Mattel’s iconic brands including Barbie®, Hot Wheels® , Thomas & Friends™ and Santa. After that they’ll get a chance to use their imagination and technical skills as they digitally create, build and paint some those very same toys.
“We are proud to be partnering with Mattel to bring this new, one-of-a-kind holiday concept to life,” said Nick Nicolosi, general manager of North Point Mall. “We are always looking for ways to introduce new brands and experiences to our community and can’t wait to showcase Santa’s Toy Factory this holiday season. We know our guests will embrace it.”
The experience with Santa’s Toy Factory is free-of-charge and photo packages begin at $39.99. To make reservations to ensure quicker access, please click HERE. If you’d like more information, please visit www.VisitSantasToyFactory.com. North Point Mall is located at 1000 North Point Circle and is home to a plethora of high-quality tenants including American Girl, Lego and the Disney Store.
The time when your child is really ‘into’ Santa Claus is fleeting. As a family we’re right in the Santa sweet spot, with one who is 6 and 8. They’re both firmly in Camp Santa, have already written their Christmas lists and are adding things to it daily. Hint: make duplicates of their lists and send them to Santa Claus. This way you can keep the original lists for their special file of super cute childhood memories.
One of these memories is here. The photos of them ‘creating’ toys that Santa Claus could give to boys and girls. It’s the gape eyed look that your kids sometimes get but you can rarely capture on film. Get the cameras ready. Santa’s Toy Factory runs through December 24 at North Point Mall.
