New all age comic books for Wednesday, September 30, 2015

Happy #NCBD ! Yea, #NCBD is a thing on twitter, we just discovered it the other week. Folks will tweet out photos of their new comics using that hashtag. If you’re going to the comic book store tag your photos appropriately to see what others are reading.

While not officially a ‘new’ all age comic, the mini comic bundles are released today. These are packages of 25 mini comics priced at $4.99. It’s a comic that you give out to people in costume on Halloween night. There are several bundles to choose from this year including, Boom Studios, Skylanders, Bitten Full Moon from Diamond Publications, Yo Kai Watch, Grimmis Island, World of Archie, The Garlics from Action Lab, Spook-a-Rama from the Monsters Magazine folks. Inventory will vary according to your local comic book shop, to find the closes one or to look at the mini comics online just check out their site.

Now, on with the regularly scheduled all age comic books! Archie #3 comes out and this title is great. Yes, I know it’s an Archie title…have you seen the new reboot? The art is fabulous and the stories are such that any age can dig this comic from Mark Waid and Fiona Staples.

Bee and Poppycat #9, the final Ghostbusters Get Real #4 (of 4), Munchkin #9 and Simpsons Illustrated #19 hit this week too.  A friend of mine and his 7 year old girl read Jem & The Holograms together, their Outrageous Annual #1 is something you can pick up this week.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #50 is what this series has been leading up to. It’s the big battle between our guys and Shredder. After this their universe won’t be the same and it’s an issue that will shape the series for years.

An interesting book comes out this week, Wonder Woman War Years is a compilation of her early comics from WWII. The cover alone is interesting and a great reminder that this character’s history only places her behind Superman and Bat Man.

The links will take you to TFAW where you’ll save at least 10% on your order. If you want to find your local comic book store today just use the locator and set your phasers to read.
