Digimon Tamers, Season 3 Volume 2 is anime that is squarely aimed at children. The series’ main characters, Takato, Henry and Rika are three kids who love playing Digimon. You may want to sit down for this, Digimon is a card game and this series is based on those actions.
Each season of Digimon has a different focus and the third season was about the Tamers. They’re the kids who play the game, live with and train their digimons to battle and summon their powers when needed. Some of the digimons are bad, but the ones that hang out around the kids are good.
The show has a sweet spot age of 6-8. There’s nothing objectionable in it and each episode has enough action to keep everyone entertained. It also has two strong female heroes, which will resonate with young girls. Every episode is 22 minutes which is a great length for this age group. It’s longer than a Thomas, but not an hour so kids can squeeze in two episodes if you need them to.
Digimon Tamers is by its fan base considered to be one of the more emotional seasons. It’s still anime that’s geared at children, that simply means that there is more character development. This season originally aired in 2001, this DVD packages has three discs and you’ll get 374 minutes of Digimon entertainment for that. The latest version Digimon Fusion is currently airing on Nicktoons.
