There are so many things about The Monuments Men to be excited about.  It stars George Clooney, Matt Damon, John Goodman, Bill Murray, Hugh Boneville and Cate Blanchett, just to name a few.  The plot is the true story of a WWII platoon tasked with rescuing art from Nazi thieves and returns them to their owners.   Wait, a true WWII movie that stars Bill Murray, other great actors and the Nazis lose?  I am there!

The story of The Monuments Men sounds impossible.  However, FDR did tell this platoon to go behind enemy lines, get the art and return it.  What’s worse is that the German army was under orders to destroy the art, so time was an issue also.  When Germany fell this group of seven museum directors, curators and art historians had to pull of the impossible.

It really sounds like hyperbole, doesn’t it?
