The Olympics are a fun time because there is always a dependable answer to ‘what’s on television?’. You may not even know the sport or how it’s played, but the odds are that it’ll be interesting to watch. If you gather a couple friends then you can marvel at the speed, danger or athleticism of the sport and debate which you’d be best at. For the record I’d love to try skeleton. To help inspire our Olympic Moments, Mike’s Hard Lemonade supplied us with product and a gift card. All thoughts are our own.
Having a party can be challenging to parents with small children. A couple of years ago (Ok more like 15 years ago…)the definition of party was lots of people, making a mess and not helping you clean up. And those parties were so much fun. Now party is more of a gathering with drinks, snacks and conversation about anything other than kids or work.
My Olympic memories needed some prompting. Remember the gymnastic coach with the caterpillar mustache and his student who came limping off the mat like Daniel in Karate Kid? I remembered key moments in Olympic history; I just forgot the names of the characters involved.
Mike’s Hard Lemonade is having a contest for you to show your Olympic Moment. Share your comments or photo on Mike’s Hard Lemonade Facebook feed or tag them on Twitter with a photo of you digging, celebrating and living your Olympic Moment. They’ll randomly choose winners who will receive a big “Go USA” package. They’ll randomly choose winners who will receive a big “GO USA” package. It’s the items that we used in our party, lots of American flags, those cool Go USA koozies and lots of coasters.
Tip: save the items for future party use, like the 4th of July or future Olympics. We saved ours with our storage bin of patriotic stuff. We often have themed parties that revolve around the holidays, so all our decorations are now in ‘themed’ bins in the attic.
What’s your Olympic Moment? Share them and, if you’re like me, it’ll jar your memories so that you can join in too.
