I was provided with a family 4-pack of ticket in exchange for this posting. All thoughts are our own. Elephants are really cool, so are tigers, lions and bears. It was on the way out of the last Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey show that our 3 year old said, ‘can we go back to the circus tomorrow’? Ah, children and their concept of time, it’s precious. However, in real world time I knew it would be a year before they came back and we’ll see how interested he is then.
And sure enough, he saw one of the ads on television stating that Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey were coming back to Atlanta with Built to Amaze!. “Oh, can we go daddy”? If your kids are between 3 and 8 then you’re probably getting the same query too.
Built to Amaze is the 143rd edition of the Greatest Show on Earth. It’ll bring together circus performers from around the globe. I remember catching a sneak preview of Built to Amaze when I saw the circus last year and it looked amazing.
Granted some things like the animals will be constant, but the clowns, acrobatics, stunts and narrative that weaves the show will be entirely new and different. If you’re not motivated about the show or indifferent just watch this.
The ringmaster has so much charisma; joy and passion that you want to see him and see if it rubs off on you. He’s a different ringmaster than previous years, but still has the trademark voice and dedication for entertaining people.
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Built to Amaze is coming to Atlanta for a series of dates. It’ll be in Duluth at the Gwinnett Center from February 4-9 and at Phipps Arena in Atlanta from February 12-17. There are a variety of show times to accommodate naps, soccer schedules or whatever is happening in your life and tickets start at $14.
At that price you don’t even need to run away to join them. Bonus: they’ve made a freebie coloring sheet for the kids!
