This year your local comic book shop is having The Greatest Halloween Costume Contest Ever. It’s kid friendly, OK for adults too and will have free comic books! The free comic books will depend on the supply and location, but they’re pretty cool.
Entering is pretty simple. Just go to your local comic book store in costume. Find the Halloween Comicfest button with Itty Bitty Hellboy on it. Put that snazzy button on your costume, take a picture and share!
You can enter in one of five categories, Superhero/Comics, TV/Movie, Gamer, Horror or original. Our kids are dressing up as animals this year, if there’s any chance that I can sneak them in as ‘original’, I’m doing it.
Prizes for the Greatest Halloween Costume Contest range from a $500 shopping spree, $250 shopping sprees and more comic stuff than you shake a light saber at. Entries in the costume contest are accepted until November 15 and all of the details are on the website.
Depending on location, they’ll also have free comic books! These are special books that will feature Itty Bitty Hellboy, Adventure Time, My Little Pony, Sesame Street, Ben 10, Batman, Thor, Spider Man and more. The majority of these titles are very kid friendly, so go stock up!
