Our previous house was built around 1910. It had heart of pine wood throughout, original windows and spaces where the floor and walls weren’t joined tightly. That was all the space needed for bugs of all sort to come in and explore. If I had the Orkin Home Education Kit then I could’ve identified the many small pests and critters that were trying to meet me.
It’s said that the best way to protect your home from pests is to education. I still don’t know anything about household pests, but I have learned that some have their place in the home ecosystem.
For example the daddy long legs is a type of spider, quite poisonous actually, but they love to eat other spiders. Don’t worry, the daddy long legs can’t bite people because their legs are too long for their small body. Think of them like that dinosaur in Toy Story that has arms that are too short to do anything.
