Despicablimp is coming to Atlanta on Wednesday, April 17

On April 17 the Despicablimp will be flying around Atlanta.  It’s Despicable, it’s a blimp-it’s Despicablimp.  If you saw Despicable Me then you’ll immediately recognize the Minions from the movie.  Even if you didn’t see the movie you’ve seen the Minions somewhere, they’re cute, yellow and part of pop culture.

In preparation for Despicable Me 2 coming out on July 3 the Despicablimp is flying around the U.S.    This is a real blimp and a really, really big Minion.  Blimps are not common, there are only 15 airships flying in the world today.

Technically the Despicablimp is an A-150, one of the largest in the world at 165-feet long, 55-feet high and 46-feet wide.  They’re eco friendly and use less fuel in 2 weeks than a 747 uses to take off, go planet.  The Despicablimp is lit from within, so if you’re lucky enough to see it at night the Minion will be lit up like a Christmas tree.

The Despicablimp will be flying around Atlanta shortly after 11:00 on Wednesday the 17^th.  When you see the Despicablimp, post a photo to Instagram or Flickr using #despicablimp.   That will put you in the running for weekly prizes and a grand prize where one lucky Despicable Me fan will win a trip for four to the Hollywood world premier-AND get the chance to ride in the blimp!
