Mixbook’s National Dad’s Got Talent Contest

Dads, talent, contests and prizes.  It’s good to be a dad, especially around Father’s Day.  Every day as a dad is great, but Father’s Day puts that extra special bounce in your step.

This Father’s Day Mixbook is having a contest to celebrate the talents of dads.  Mixbook’s National Dad’s Got Talent Contest runs from May 15 to midnight PDT on June 17.  ‘Talent’ is relative.  It could be a photo of you fishing, your dad dancing or dad trying to teach the kids how to ride a bike.

Entry is simple, just pick a photo of dad doing something that makes him “Dad”.  Upload the photo to Mixbook’s Facebook page and promote said dad talent via social media.  Promote it on your Facebook page and use the hashtag #Mixbookdad on Twitter.

The top prize is a $1,500 gift card to Best Buy.  Once you load your photo, promote it and the one with the most votes receives the $1,500 gift card.

Daddy Mojo will be part of a Super Dad list that will help choose some of the final winners.  This group of judges will select 5 photos that will receive a $50 gift card to Amazon.com.  The photos will be broken up into a couple categories including Most Bloggable, Most Shareable and so forth.  Isn’t there a photo of your husband or you that typifies the manic, wonderful, funny, frustrating, loving moments that make being a “Dad” special?

There will also be 5 randomly chosen, Twitter prizes that win a free Mixbook photo book.  Just use the hashtag #MixbookDad to be eligible for that.

By now you’ve thought of a photo.  You’ve probably already thought of a caption for it and are planning on how to spend the $1,500 gift card to Best Buy.

I recently gave Mommy Mojo a Mixbook that was packed with photos of her, the boys, our vacation, a couple of us and one of the dog. She said that the book was artsy and perfect.  Man card punched for at least two weeks due to great gift giving.

Making the Mixbook was fun and the longest part was narrowing down the images that would be in the book.  There are various features and effects that you can use while creating the book like making photos overlap pages or using some as background images.

Father’s Day is just around the corner….but for now, back to the contest and prizes.
