When I first started building my tool collection my father gave me a pair of Craftsman Garden Pruners. “You’ll never have to sharpen them son, and if they ever break just take em back to Sears”, he said in old fatherly wisdom. Those pruners still cut great and his words of wisdom are backed up by the Craftsman Hand Tool Guarantee.
Sears is making the holiday shopping experience easier and more hassle free this year by offering up Real Joy Guaranteed. If you stop by any Sears store you’ll see bright red signs proclaiming “Real Joy Guaranteed”, here is the skinny on that.
- Low price guaranteed. Sears will match any competitor’s price on the same item and give you 10% of the difference, whoot.
- Purchase the item online, pick it up at a local Sears and the item will be ready for you within 5 minutes. If you have to return or exchange an item, just start the process online and complete it in 5 minutes when you get to the store. In both cases if it doesn’t happen in 5 minutes then you’ll receive a $5 coupon at Sears.
- The Craftsman Hand Tool Lifetime Guarantee. True, if any covered Craftsman hand tool ever fails they’ll replace it for free.
As a sometime DIY type dad I’ll wander around the tools for a bit. I was there today looking at the Cordless Hammerhead Auto Hammer (what a cool name and a practical thing too) and some of their wrench sets. I don’t need a wrench set mind you, it’s just fun to go and look at all the cool tools that I don’t need.
For the ladies we can check out the cosmetics, clothing, jewelry or camping supplies. OK, that last one wasn’t really for the ladies, it’s more of a family gift. However, if you sell it to your wife as “bonding time”, they’ll dig it and be thankful.
If you want to check out all the options at Sears just pop on over to the site. You can also follow @SearsDeals, @Sears and Facebook.com/Sears to get the inside scoop on additional discounts, sweepstakes and more.
Visiting Sears again this Christmas season has brought back memories when we used to get the Wish Book. Back in the day we dog-eared the pages that had toys that we wanted. We’d leave the book on mom or dads chair, they’d act like they didn’t see it and sit on it. That could explain why I never did get that Atari system, maybe they weren’t pretending.
This was a compensated post. I received goods or payment for the above ramblings.
I always gravitate to the clamps and the table saws at Sears, butr I don’t see either on their Black Friday ads this year.
